Virginia Agnes Drake

Virginia Agnes Drake, 85, of Eastview, KY passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Carol Drake; a daughter, Carrol Ann Drake; a son, Charlie Wayne Drake; her beloved parents, William Truman Davis, Francis Thomas & Rosalene Thomas; two brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Brad.

She is survived by her children, Rick Drake (Karen), Connie Leasor (Larry), Glen Drake (Virgie), Gary Drake (Tonya); nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of brothers, sisters, extended family & friends.

Virginia was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church, Vine Grove, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She retired from Rineyville Elementary School, where she served as the cafeteria manager. Her hobbies included collecting antiques, raising vegetables, flower gardens and caring for her farm animals. She loved to travel, but more than anything, she cherished time spent with family & friends-especially at the farm with her dog Jo Jo- fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, or simply just sitting together and enjoying one another’s company.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2026 and from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Chism Family Funeral Home.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Drake at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2026 at St. Brigid Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Brigid Cemetery.
